Planable
Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.
Overview
Planable is a tool for planning, approving and publishing posts in social networks. It is charged for differently from most: you pay for a workspace, and the number of users is not limited (pricing page) — among the tools checked such a model is met rarely.
The tool has a public API with documented limits on requests (API guide).
The language of the pages depends on where you look from. The homepage was served in German (de-DE), the hreflang markup declares six language versions: de, en, es, fr, nl, pt. The pricing page also came in German — the site determined the point of observation (Germany) and switched the language. A caveat: the prices may turn out to be regional.
Which platforms it works with
The platforms menu in the header of the site lists nine items: Facebook, Google Business Profile, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Threads, X (Twitter). The page itself declares "9 platforms, all formats, one-click". An earlier automatic check found seven and was marked as a lower bound — Google Business Profile and X were missing.
Instagram. Only professional accounts: "You can manage Instagram Professional Accounts (Business Pages and Creator Accounts)", personal ones are not supported (page about Instagram). A link with a Facebook Page is not obligatory at that — to the direct question the tool answers "No, but in this case you'll have some limitations". There are two modes of publication to choose from — direct publication or a notification to the phone, and the method is chosen separately for every page and every type of content.
TikTok. Two modes as well (page about TikTok): direct scheduling from the tool or publication through a notification in the mobile app — the second is needed in order to add sound there.
LinkedIn. Both types are supported: "You can manage LinkedIn Personal Profiles and LinkedIn Company Pages" (page about LinkedIn). The publication is direct for all types of content, including first comments.
YouTube. Direct publication of all types of content; the set of upload fields is the most detailed of those checked — a playlist, a video category, a licence, a "made for kids" mark, a privacy level and a custom thumbnail (page about YouTube).
Pricing
There are four plans (pricing page): Free for 50 posts, Basis at 33 and Pro at 49 USD a month per workspace, Enterprise on request. The minimum paid price is 33 USD a month per workspace, the Basis plan.
The volume is included in the plan: Basis — 60 posts a month and 4 pages, Pro — 150 and 10.
The caveat from the overview applies here too: the pricing page was served in German because the site determined the country of observation.
What is free
A free plan exists, but it is arranged differently from most: the limit of 50 posts is not per month but in total (pricing page). Besides that, on the free plan there is no publication to X and there is no analytics.
Restrictions
The API limits (guide) are counted per token on a sliding window and are separated: reading — 600 requests a minute, modification (creation, editing, deletion) — 120 a minute. The remainder is visible in the response headers. A fivefold separation of reading and writing is a rarity: with most tools the limit is common.
An attachment by link is limited to 100 MB per file.
The volume by plan: 50 posts in total on the free one, 60 a month on Basis, 150 on Pro; pages — 4 and 10.
The daily limit of Instagram publications is not mentioned on the tool's page — the page was read in full.
How you earn with it
The affiliate programme is called Planable Ambassadors (page of the programme); the address /affiliate leads to a file, not to a page. The terms are placed on a separate page — among the tools checked that is rather an exception.
The rate is progressive: "Commissions are between 15% and 25% of every active subscription brought in the first 6 months". The payouts recur during the first six months — they pay for a referred client while he stays with the tool for those six months. A participant in the programme is given a free plan so that he can look at the product.
The lifetime of the click tag is 30 days: "Cookies expire after 30 days". They pay through PayPal; a payout can be requested on the 20th of the month, but not sooner than 10 days after the confirmation of the referred client.
No separate requirements for participants are listed on the page.
What it will not do
It will not connect a personal Instagram account — the tool writes outright that it manages only professional ones (Business and Creator).
It will not add sound to a TikTok post: "Because Planable is dependent on the TikTok API, it currently doesn't support adding sounds" — the tool itself names the platform's API restriction as the source. It does have a way around, but a manual one: publish through a notification and add the sound in the TikTok app.
Tagging a personal profile in LinkedIn is possible only if it follows the company page on which it is being tagged — that too is a restriction of the platform, confirmed by the tool.
On the free plan it will not publish to X and will not show analytics at all, and the 50 posts will run out for good: this is a limit for all time, not a monthly one.
It will not accept more than 600 read requests and 120 modification requests a minute per API token, and it will not upload an attachment by link heavier than 100 MB.
