Klap
Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.
Overview
Klap cuts long videos into short ones. This is how the tool describes itself: "Klap turns long videos, podcasts and webinars into ready-to-post TikToks, Reels and YouTube Shorts in one click — with AI captions, smart reframing and viral-score insights" (homepage). That self-description is the tool's own claim about itself, not an independent assessment; the "viral score" here is likewise its word, not a measured quantity.
The range of tasks is clear from that sentence: the input is a recording of a podcast, a webinar or a long clip; the output is vertical excerpts with subtitles and reframing to fit the format.
The interface language of the homepage is English (homepage); the markup gives no list of language versions.
Which platforms it works with
The list is named in the "Publish & Schedule" block on the homepage: "Directly share your new video clips on your social media channels (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn)". Four platforms — TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn.
The tool has no separate integrations page, so getting the details of connection — which account types are needed, what exactly scheduled publishing can do — will not work from open sources.
How you earn with it
An affiliate programme is announced: the Klap Affiliate Program, with a "Become an affiliate" link in the footer (programme page).
The rate is named twice on that page, and differently each time. In the page header: "earn 30% on each subscription, every month for life". In an answer in the questions and answers section on the same page: "you earn a 20% recurring commission on the sale", and there too a calculation with a multiplier of 0.2. Thirty per cent and twenty — on a single page, with no explanation of which figure applies. The discrepancy is not resolved; there are no grounds for going by the larger one merely because it stands in the header.
The accrual is recurring and open-ended — "earn recurring lifetime commission" — for as long as the referred person's subscription is active.
The payout threshold is named: "you can request payout once you reach $20 in earnings". Payouts go through PayPal — the page names no other methods.
The full terms are moved to an external page on Notion — at the address notion.so/ziggapp/Klap-Affiliate-Program-Terms-and-Conditions-… (a link from the programme page).
What it will not do
Working out your income at the announced rate is impossible until the tool resolves its own contradiction: 30% and 20% on one page is a difference of one and a half times.
The lifetime of the click tag is not named. How much time after a visit through your link a purchase still counts is unknown from the open source.
The page gives no requirements for participants: in the questions and answers section the question "Who can participate in the affiliate program" is answered with text about the personal account, not with terms of admission.
A section for developers could not be confirmed for this tool. The address klap.app/api was found on the homepage by the word "api" in the address itself, but the page that opened contains no marks of documentation. So the existence of a programming interface is not confirmed by that find — a coincidence in an address is not proof.
This deep dive has no section on cost: the sources we checked name no plans for Klap. There is also no data on a free plan or a trial period, on limits on the length of the source video and the number of excerpts.

API access
the address https://klap.app/api was found on the home page by the «api/dev» marker in the address itself, but the page that opened contains no signs of developer documentation — this does not confirm a developer section
CORRECTED the previous version declared any address containing the word api or dev found on the home page to be a developer section. All 57 such records were checked by opening the address: 24 turned out to be documentation. See data/technical/dev-links-verified.tsv and docs/research/S195-догадка-по-адресу.md
