Keyhole
Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.
Overview
Keyhole describes itself like this: "Get the complete picture, faster, with integrated social listening and PR intelligence. One cohesive platform that combines proven social monitoring with" (home page). The phrase is given exactly as it was taken from the page — with a break mid-sentence. This is the tool's self-description, not an independent assessment.
By its own words the tool has two occupations: social listening and profile analytics. The distinction is not cosmetic — the lists of supported platforms for these two jobs differ, and that is dealt with below.
The interface language of the home page is en-US. The markup declares no other language versions.
An important observation about the state of the tool: the address keyhole.co/pricing/ redirects to muckrack.com, which answers a robot with a refusal (403), while the home page carries a banner "Keyhole's Social Listening is available on Muck Rack". That is, the product has moved into Muck Rack. What exactly this means for existing users and for prices the source does not explain, and we do not fill that in ourselves.
Which platforms it works with
The lists for the two kinds of work differ, and they do not coincide fully.
Profile analytics. The tiles on the profile analytics page name six platforms: Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube. The answer in the questions section of the same page gives the same composition in different words: "Keyhole provides robust tracking across Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn".
Social listening. The answer to the question "What platforms are supported by Keyhole for social listening?" on the listening page names five: Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube — "as well as news sites, blogs, and forums".
The difference is worth keeping in mind: LinkedIn is present in profile analytics and absent from the listening list. Both records are confirmed, the contradiction is not resolved. If LinkedIn is your main platform, go by the page whose work you intend to buy.
The tail "news sites, blogs, and forums" in the listening list consists of types of source, not platforms. A news site, a blog or a forum is not the same as a platform from our catalogue, and we do not translate them into the list of supported ones.
The discrepancy in the name of one platform also comes from the source: on the analytics page it is called "X (formerly Twitter)", on the listening page simply "Twitter". This is one and the same platform.
How you earn with it
Keyhole has no affiliate programme — none announced, at any rate. The addresses /affiliate, /affiliates, /affiliates/, /affiliate-program, /partners, /partners/ and /referral were checked: all seven return 404.
The address /partners/affiliate deserves a separate mention: it is not empty, but it leads away to the outside site muckrack.com, which answers a robot with a refusal (403). We were unable to read what is there. It is therefore not possible to assert that there is no programme at all — it is only possible to assert that on Keyhole itself it is not announced, and its trail leads to the same place as the whole product: to Muck Rack.
What it will not do
Keyhole does not promise to listen to LinkedIn: it is not in the list of platforms for listening, although it is present in profile analytics.
It will not let you see prices: the pricing page redirects to an outside site closed to reading — not a single sum, currency or unit of charging can be seen there.
Both the prices and the partner address lead to a closed domain; what the move to Muck Rack gives, the open pages do not explain.
