Overview
Kapwing is a video editor with generation from a description. The tool describes itself like this: "Generate full video projects from a single prompt using Kapwing. Join over 30 million modern creators who trust Kapwing to create, edit, and grow their content on every channel" (homepage). This is a self-description; the figure of "over 30 million creators" is the tool's own claim about itself, it has not been independently verified.
The interface language of the homepage is English (homepage); the markup gives no list of language versions.
One feature of the site gets in the way of checking, and it is worth knowing about in advance: the server returns the application shell for any address. Both the integrations page and /llms.txt answer with code 200, but the answer holds only the title "Kapwing: Make a Video About Anything" and nothing more. From this a simple consequence follows: code 200 at Kapwing does not mean that a page with such content exists.
Which platforms it works with
The list is taken not from the homepage and not from the integrations page (that one is unreadable), but from the help centre page. The wording word for word: "Right now, you can share your exports to Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube. We're working on adding support for other platforms".
That makes four directions of export: Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and YouTube. Instagram is absent from this list — that is not a silence of ours but the composition of the list on the help centre page.
The second part of the phrase is worth reading literally too: the tool says it is working on support for other platforms. That is a promise, not a fact about a working capability, and there is no need to lean on it when choosing.
How you earn with it
An affiliate programme is announced: the Kapwing Affiliate Program, the tracking runs through Tapfiliate; the "Affiliates" link stands in the footer of the homepage (programme page).
The arrangement is a tiered one — three levels: standard, VIP and Super. The tool says that the commission is recurring ("recurring commissions") and that the rate grows from level to level. But there are no numbers on the page: neither percentages nor sums.
The lifetime of the click tag is named: the commission is credited if the referred person takes out Kapwing Pro "within 30 days" — thirty days.
Who is admitted: "anyone can become a Kapwing affiliate", taking part is free, registration is enough. On the VIP and Super levels the tool gives the partner Kapwing Pro for free.
What it will not do
Posting a video straight to Instagram is impossible: it is not in the export list on the help centre page, even though four other directions are named by name. The list is a closed one, and Instagram is not in it.
Working out the income from the affiliate programme in advance will not come off: there are no rates on the programme page for any of the three levels. Nor are the conditions for moving between the levels described — how many people have to be brought in to get into VIP or Super the page does not report.
The minimum sum for a payout is not named. The methods of withdrawal are not named either — all that is known is that the tracking and the payouts run through Tapfiliate. The tool has no separate page with the terms of the programme.
Reading a list of integrations on the site will not work: the page /integrations returns the application shell with no content. The same goes for /llms.txt — the tool effectively has no machine-readable index.
There is no section on pricing in this deep dive: the sources we checked name no prices for Kapwing — a paid plan is mentioned only by name, Kapwing Pro. There is also no data about a free plan, about limits on the length or the number of videos, or about a programming interface.
