Awario
Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.
Overview
Awario is a mention-tracking tool: it does not publish for you, it watches where you are being named. This is how it describes itself: "Start brand monitoring for free! Track mentions on the web sources, analyze your competition, monitor your niche influencers, and find leads on social networks!" (homepage). That self-description is the tool's own claim about itself, not an independent assessment.
The four tasks it names — tracking mentions, breaking down competitors, watching bloggers in your own niche and finding leads — describe reading other people's content, not running your own.
The interface language of the homepage is en-US; the hreflang markup declares five more versions: de, es, fr, ja, nl (homepage).
Which platforms it works with
The sources named on the homepage: X, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, Vimeo, Blogs, Forums, News, The Web.
The list has to be read carefully, because it is a mixed one. Six of the items are platforms: X, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, Vimeo. The other four — Blogs, Forums, News, The Web — are types of source, not platforms: "blogs", "forums", "news" and "the web in general". They cannot be counted as supported services.
The sources we checked do not describe how deeply it works with each platform: exactly what falls into the sample — posts, comments, replies — the tool does not break down on the pages we checked.
What is free
The only mention of anything free is the call on the homepage: "Start brand monitoring for free!" (homepage). That is a phrase from the self-description, and nothing more is known about it: what is included in the free access, whether it is limited by time, by a number of mentions or by projects, the sources we checked do not report. Telling a free plan apart from a free trial period is impossible on the data available.
How you earn with it
Awario does have an affiliate programme — the site footer carries an "Affiliate program" link leading to /affiliates/ (homepage). The page https://awario.com/affiliates/ itself is closed off in robots.txt by the directive Disallow: /affiliates/ (robots.txt) and cannot be read.
The size of the commission is therefore unavailable from outside: the terms page is forbidden to be read by the site's own rules. Neither the rate, nor the payout threshold, nor the lifetime of the click tag is known from public data.
What it will not do
Reading the terms of the affiliate programme from the outside will not work: the section is closed off in robots.txt. All that is confirmed is that the programme is announced by a link in the footer.
Awario does not claim to publish posts: every action it names is reading and breaking down other people's mentions.
The sources we checked name no prices, no boundaries for the free access and no limits of any kind — which is why this deep dive has no sections on pricing or on restrictions. The word "free" on the homepage is no substitute for such data.
The tool names no languages beyond the six declared by the markup.
