Barrier to entry: what I bring, what is open to me
The catalogue is arranged from the platform's side: here it is, here are its conditions. A person thinks the other way round — from their own side: no money, no subscribers, no company, and the country is what it is. This page reads the catalogue from that side.
Four questions, because they run into four different barriers, and none replaces another.
Not a single judgement: we do not say where it is easier to start. The conditions are laid out, the choice is yours.
You can start with no audience threshold
Platforms that stated outright: subscribers are not required to begin. This is the most frequent question and the rarest answer.

Answers for each entry separately are on two pages, by kind:
- Barrier to entry: platforms — 133 entries
- Barrier to entry: tools — 190 entries
What is worth knowing before you pay
Three conditions a person usually learns about after paying. All three are taken from the services' own documents.
- An invited client can occupy a paid seat. At Kontentino every role counts: «every role counts towards your final user count». Invite the client to review and you have paid for a seat. 2. A conversation can expire and start over. At Trengo a dialogue lives 7 days; after that the same correspondence is billed as new. 3. There can be two meters at once. At Gorgias the price is not per agent — «never priced per agent» — but you pay both for tickets and, separately, 0.90 USD for every resolution made by AI.
On method. The answers are derived from the catalogue's facts, not collected separately: each carries a link to the platform's or tool's document and a check date. We do not compute an «average threshold» and do not rank by accessibility: that would be a judgement, and the catalogue gives facts.
