International SMM

Freepik

Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.

Overview

Freepik is a stock library that grew into an AI content service. The first thing to know when searching for it: the service has been renamed. The pricing page is headed «Magnific (formerly Freepik)».

The second is how payment works. You pay not per image and not per download but for credits, and every model spends a different number of them.

Who is here

The pricing page gives no audience figures.

Getting started

Three plans, each with two prices — monthly and when paid annually:

  • Premium — 16 EUR a month, or 12 EUR paid annually, 240,000 credits a year;
  • Premium+ — 36 or 27 EUR, 600,000 credits a year;
  • Pro — 230 or 172.5 EUR, 4 million credits a year.

Prices are quoted excluding VAT and local taxes — stated on the page itself.

What you can publish

Not applicable: the service is not a publishing platform.

How to grow

Not applicable for the same reason.

The road to monetisation

All three plans include a commercial licence for AI-made work; Premium+ and Pro add music rights. The text of the licence itself is not on the pricing page.

Tools and automation

The unit of account is the credit, and that is what matters for budgeting. Examples from the page: one image from Ideogram 2K High costs 44 credits; one second of Pixverse 6 1080p video costs 200.

From which a simple rule follows: comparing plans by credit count is pointless without the consumption table. Four million credits sound impressive until it turns out the model you need spends two thousand per clip.

Credits are valid for a year and do not reset monthly: «Credits valid for 1 year, no monthly resets».

Who it suits

Freepik suits someone who budgets in advance and is willing to work through the model cost table: it is published, and that is honest.

Anyone choosing by subscription price should start from the other end — look at how many credits the model they actually intend to use will cost.

three named plans: Premium (16/12 EUR), Premium+ (36/27 EUR, 600,000 credits a year), Pro (230/172.5 EUR, 4 million credits a year)

The first figure is monthly, the second is for yearly billing

the unit of account is the «credit», not the image: every model spends its own number of credits per image or per second of video

An example from the page: one Ideogram 2K High image costs 44 credits, one second of Pixverse 6 1080p video costs 200 credits. Comparing plans by number of credits without the consumption table is meaningless
